〝愛滋，愛之〞是許多人乍聽台灣愛之希望協會的聯想，是的，「台灣愛之希望協會」係本於人道精神而成立的民間性團體，原隸屬於1995年9月成立的中華民國預防醫學會的「希望工作坊南部辦公室」，運作四年後深感資源整合與全方位服務的重要性，於是於1999年9月4日正式獨立為「台灣愛之希望協會」，成為一全國性社團，亦為南台灣第一個推動愛滋病防治之團體，努力不懈迄今。
多年來，我們相信每一個人的心中自有天堂，所以「台灣愛之希望協會」踏出愛滋病防治重要的一步，以尊重、關懷、接納的態度，結合醫療，輔導與社會工作等專業，針對包括青少年、第三性公關、監所學員、男同志、醫護人員、公共衛生人員及學生等不同族群，舉辦不定期的宣導演講和研習課程，如愛滋關懷研習會等，以期減少愛滋病蔓延的機會。
亦主動向被愛滋病威脅與感染的人們及家屬伸出友誼的雙手，共同來面對、處理愛滋病毒感染所繁衍出的各種問題，以發揚人本精神的光明面，促進被感染愛滋病毒者之人權，並共同創造和諧、無歧視的社會環境，達到〝愛滋，愛之〞的境界。 |

Established in 1999, the Taiwan Love and Hope Association is the first AIDS NGO in southern Taiwan. Our organization works to prevent HIV transmission among all people and families affected by HIV/AIDS in southern Taiwan through promoting gender-based human rights and community-based organizing.
